44213 Off - Road Muscle Car Instructions
Hello Everyone, CrazyKreations here (haha, it's been a minute) with our latest alternative build: an Off-Road Muscle Car inspired by Dom's off-road Dodge Charger from the famous Fast and Furious 7 Movie. Our build uses only parts from the 44213 Ford Bronco, so if you have this set, you already have everything you need to build it! This is the first alternative build we have made from the Ford Bronco, and, as always, this model includes a variety of features and detailed instructions for building it.
If you have seen our other builds, you may remember that we have already made an Offroad Muscle Car before from the Ford Raptor, so you may be wondering... What makes this one different? Well, we have integrated some crazy features into this car that we would love to show you! Let's get into it!
Features of this model:
- Opening doors
- Interior with support beams protecting the cabin
- Independent Front suspension utilising one shock absorber
- Trailing arm rear suspension that is able to be pushed fully down, unlike the Ford Bronco Set
- Working V6 Engine Located in the Front of the Car, driven by the rear wheels through a Custom CV joint
- Working hog steering via a removable knob located at the rear
- Working Steering Wheel located on the left side of the dashboard through an intricate lever system
- Solid and Rigid bodywork
- A variety of SNOT techniques are utilised to cover gaps and improve colour consistency
- Rear Tailights
- Spare tyre positioned at the rear
- Side Exit Exhaust
If you have a Ford Bronco Set, you are aware that you cannot push the rear suspension down when playing with the model, but we have solved this by redesigning the rear suspension to use a trailing-arm system instead of a pendulum. One huge issue with this redesign is that, since the Ford Bronco didn't have this, it lacks the joint parts needed to connect the wheels to the engine via the suspension. We found a way around this issue by creating a custom CV joint that serves as the link between the engine and the wheels, making our model very playable and giving it unique features the original Ford Bronco set doesn't have.
Additionally, we have also added a working steering wheel to our MOC, which is rare for a model of this scale. We achieved this through a lever system that connects the steering wheel to the HOG system which is connected to the steering.
